Aust. & Amer. Ch Nani's Dis-Harmony Imp USA
10/11/2006 It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that our beautiful Harmony, Am Aust Ch Nanis Dis-Harmony (Imp USA) left us to cross the Rainbow Bridge last Friday. Although we are grieving very much for her we also rejoice for the years of companionship that we had with her and the progeny that she has left for us. We will remember her with joy when we see her Great Great Grand children Jett (‘Ekahi Greydove Quicksilver (Imp USA) and Nani (‘Ekahi Greydove Surfer Girl (Imp USA) floating around the ring as she used to. She is now with her brothers and sisters romping like puppies again. Vale Harmony and thank you!
Harmony came to our kennel in April 1999. We had been looking for a bitch with outstanding lines to become one of the foundation bitches in the kennel. We were very fortunate to be offered Am Ch Nani’s Dis-Harmony, bred by Chris Grisell in Indiana. This same breeding had been done 3 times by Chris and on each occasion exceptional Weimaraners were produced. Harmony’s Sire and Dam were on the top producers’ list in 1997.
Harmony obtained her Australian Championship in 7 months and this included time off to have a litter. Quite an achievement.
Harmony had 2 litters in Australia. Sire of the 1st litter was Am/Can/Aust Grand Ch Divani Loads A Trouble AI. This litter produced among others, Aust Ch Greydove Centre Stage CD (Sentry) and Greydove Chantilly Lace (Lilli).
Harmony was then bred to 'Chip', Am/Aust Ch Nani N Greydove Milenium Bug (Imp USA). She produced Aust Ch Greydove Indiana Affair (Portia). Portia, who was Sydney Royal 2002 Best of Breed winner.
The progeny of Harmony have been outstanding in their own right and in what they have gone on to produce. Lilli is the dam of Greek Ch Greydove New York New York (Exp Greece) (Madison); SVCH Greydove Nordic Liaison (Exp Sweden)(Nordic) and BIS Greydove Nice N Easy (Ash).
Ash was bred to Gr Ch Waldweise NDoubt About It TD to produce 3 stunning bitches. Am Ch Greydove Ekahi Island Gal (USA), the only Australian Bred bitch to win an All Breeds Best in Show in the USA; Aust Ch Greydove Ultimate Diva, Puppy in Show Melbourne Royal in 2004; and Aust Ch Greydove Uptown Girl TDX who has exceeded both in the showring to Best of Breed Royal level and in Tracking.
We now have in the kennel her grand-daughter Mia, Greydove Deerpath Divine Secret – co-owned and showing in the US and her Great-grandchildren - ’Ekahi Greydove Quicksilver (imp USA) and Greydove ‘Ekahi Surfer Girl (imp USA) who are being shown in Sydney.
